  Kludde is a shapeshifting waterdemon from rural Flemish folklore. It’s a wolf/cat/frog/bat-like animal that walks on his hind legs and jumps on to the backs of people wandering outside the city alone at night. When it catches you, you have to walk with it on your back until the first sunlight. You can hear the demon coming by the rattling of chains on his left leg.
